If I was going to a party where you bring your favorite dessert from your childhood, this would be it. While it is literally all store bought ingredients, you could truly trick someone into thinking you hand-crafted this ice cream.
“Oreo Whip” was my grandmothers version of homemade cookies and cream ice cream, and I can argue it is so much better.
Ingredients:
1/2 gallon vanilla bean ice cream of choice [I think Tillamook is the creamiest but any brand works!]
1 8 oz tub of cool whip
As many Oreos as you want [the more the better — be generous!]
Directions:
Let your ice cream and cool whip sit out on the counter for 10ish minutes until soft
While your ice cream is softening, place Oreos in a Ziploc bag and crush them
Once softened, mix ice cream, cool whip, and crushed Oreos.
I also love adding some bigger chunks of Oreos once all combined.
Place in a big tupperware container and freeze!
While this is no recipe, I had to share because it truly is the best dessert and totally customizable too! The blend of the ice cream and cool whip just makes all the difference!
